ACC Tournament 2014: Maryland-Florida State GameThread

Come talk Terps as they take on the Seminoles for the third time this season.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It's officially ACC Tournament time, folks. Maryland has a noon tip-off against Florida State, a team they're slightly favored to beat after splitting the regular season series.

Leading up to this game, Mark Turgeon has said Florida State was the last time Maryland got embarrassed, and it's safe to say that's probably true (with the only other argument being a nine-point loss to NC State). The Terrapins' loss to the Seminoles came in early January, right after a 20-point loss to Pittsburgh, and just a few weeks after the loss to Boston University.

Since then, Maryland has gone 7-7 against much tougher competition, losing a whole lot of close games and pulling off big victories against the Seminoles and Virginia. Can the Terps beat Florida State again? We'll see this afternoon.
