Three-star safety Jordan Noil has decommitted from Maryland and is reportedly no longer considering the school, according to Alex Prewitt.

Noil was also offered by Kansas State, Marshall and Western Kentucky, among others, but also received interest from SEC schools like Auburn and Tennessee. Noil offered his pledge to the Terps back in September of 2013, and was recruited by Lyndon Johnson.
Earlier Saturday, Maryland offered and received a commitment from safety Antwaine Carter -- surely not a coincidence.
The three-star player is rated as the 155th-best safety in the country and the 172nd-best player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247sports composite. He was also offered by Georgia State, Marshall and Western Kentucky, among others.
Pete Volk, Testudo Times managing editor: Noil was useful for two main reasons -- safety depth and the continuation of the Norcross pipeline in Georgia, which brought Maryland D.J. Adams and Max Garcia. Carter helps offset the depth issue (I don't think they're that far apart in terms of potential, and actually like Carter a bit more), and it's always good to add home-town kids into the fold. Obviously you never want to see decommitments, but this one is certainly manageable.
