Watch the 2014 Foster Farms Bowl: Maryland vs. Stanford game time, TV schedule, live online streaming

Maryland and Stanford meet for the first time ever in the Foster Farms Bowl. Here's how to watch.

Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

After a month off, the Maryland football team faces a stern test in the Foster Farms bowl against the Stanford Cardinal.  The Terrapins are playing in their second bowl game under fourth year coach Randy Edsall.  Stanford is playing in their fifth consecutive bowl game (the previous four were BCS bowls).  Stanford is playing in a less prestigious bowl than they are accustomed, but boast one of the best defenses in college football.

Maryland's star receiver will be back, but Stanford's star receiver will not play.  Stanford star Ty Montgomery has battled a shoulder injury sustained on November 22 against California. Maryland's Stefon Diggs has not seen game action for two months, and is returning from a lacerated kidney.  Speaking to the media during the bowl week, Diggs' claimed to feel rested and agile, with sharper cuts than earlier in the season.  The Terps are 14 point underdogs, and could use a big game from Diggs.

This is Maryland's first bowl game against a power conference opponent since the 2007 Fight Hunger Bowl, against Oregon State. The Terrapins lost that game 21-14.
