After varying degrees of blowouts over three overmatched opponents at XFINITY Center, the Maryland basketball team travels to Kansas City to face-off against the Arizona State Sun Devils in the first round of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.
Arizona State was an NCAA tournament team last season but are rebuilding after losing basically their entire team. The winner of the game tonight will play the winner of the Iowa State/Alabama (so...probably Iowa State) tomorrow.
As of tip-off the Terps are ranked #26 by KenPom, while the Devils come it at 67. Compare that to Fordham, the best team Maryland's faced so far this year, who are way down at 214. This'll be a huge step up in competition for both teams. The best team ASU's played this year is 223rd Loyola Marymount.
