Maryland takes the XFINITY Center floor for the second (official) time in the 2014-2015 season against the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils tonight at 7:30pm Eastern. Pete previewed the Northeast Conference power (?) earlier this week.
This should just be another cupcake-y tune-up for the Terps who breaking five new players into the rotation, along veteran leader Dez Wells (who was today named to the Wooden Award top 50) and forward Jake Layman that had a very impressive first outing against Wagner.
Wells had a little bit of an injury scare in the opening game, tweaking a sensitive ankle, but seems okay to go tonight. If the game is a blowout, he could perhaps see some well needed rest. Join the comments below to discuss, argue, get mad, get happy and celebrate hopefully.
