The 4-2 Maryland football team takes on Iowa on a homecoming Saturday in College Park.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

It's homecoming in College Park, and the Maryland football team brings its 4-2 record into a conference clash with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The game – the first ever football meet-up between these two schools – kicks off at noon on ESPN2.

C.J. Brown and the Terrapins are coming off an ugly home loss two weeks ago to Ohio State, followed up by a bye week. The Hawkeyes beat Indiana last weekend, 45-29, in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes have one of the country's better defenses, allowing just 19 points per game. Like Maryland, they've struggled running the ball on offense, averaging fewer than four yards per attempt.

The Terrapins are a roughly 4.5-point favorite, according to odds rounded up at Vegas Insider.

Maryland will wear its red Pride jerseys with black helmets and black pants – a new combination.

We hope you'll follow along here throughout the game. I'll have updates from the Tyser Tower press box as the game moves along both here and on Twitter.
