Maryland has its first bye week of the season today, but college football has a decent amount going on in the Terps' absence.
The biggest game of the day, undoubtedly, is the one between No. 3 Mississippi State and No. 2 Auburn. That's on CBS at 3:30, while Texas A&M hosts Ole Miss at 9:00 on ESPN. The Pac-12 offers a UCLA-Oregon meeting at 3:30 from Los Angeles on FOX (all times Eastern).
In the Big Ten, there isn't any one particularly compelling game. Penn State pays a visit to Michigan, which is interesting but would be more fun if the Wolverines weren't a dumpster fire at the moment. Iowa, a week ahead of its visit to College Park, plays host to an Indiana team that the Terps crushed two weeks ago. No. 8 Michigan State visits Purdue.
Feel free to use this space for discussion of all of college football's happenings during Maryland's bye.
