Randy Edsall has dipped into the local talent pool again, as the Terps received another commitment for the 2014 class, outside linebacker Nnamdi Egbuaba, out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.

Although technically a local recruit because of where he played his high school ball, Egbuaba actually spent the majority of his life living in Africa -- Nigeria to be exact.
A two-sport athlete, also playing basketball at St. Frances, Egbuaba came to the United States with the hopes of using his athletic ability to earn himself a D-I scholarship.
And the 6-feet-1, 215-pound prospect has done just that, claiming offers from Maryland, Oklahoma, UConn -- Edsall's old stomping grounds -- and Virginia. The Terps made their offer to Egbuaba official on January 17. In addition to the aforementioned schools, Egbuaba has also drawn interest from Arizona, Duke, Miami, N.C. State, Old Dominion, Rutgers, and West Virginia, where he attended camp this past summer.
He is considered a three-star prospect by the 247sports composite, where he is ranked the 96th-best outside linebacker in the class and the 35th-best player in the state of Maryland.
Brett Kulka, Tyler Burke and Jesse Aniebonam are the other Terrapin recruits in the 2014 class who could end up playing linebacker, although at least one will play on the defensive line.

Pete Volk, Testudo Times managing editor: Egbuaba is a nice pickup for the Terps this late in the game. He's unrated now, but I expect him to pick up three stars when the tape is re-evaluated -- he's a legitimate power conference outside linebacker with very good tackling ability. I imagine Egbuaba and one of the three names Pat mentioned above will be placed at linebacker (my guess would be Burke), with the other two sent down to the line. Maryland graduates four different outside linebackers this year, so while I expect Egbuaba to redshirt this season, he could make an impact as soon as next year.
