Really Cool Visit From Coach Edsall

I'll try my best to keep a long story as short as I can for everyone. I coach Junior League baseball in Easton. There is a 15 year old boy by the name of Brandon Kerrigan that I have coached for the past two years, and had him on the Talbot All-Star team that won states this year and went to regionals in New Jersey. Two weeks after returning from regionals, Brandon was home and started complaining of chest pains. They brought him to the hospital and after running further tests they decided to fly him to University of Maryland Medical Center. On the helicopter ride over, Brandon went into cardiac arrest. A week after going into cardiac arrest, they found that Brandon needs a heart transplant and put him at the top of the list. Around that time, Orioles players Tommy Hunter and Darren O'Day payed him a visit. 1174906_10151603866573404_2052669833_n_medium

Well Brandon is getting better. He is getting stronger and at this time just waiting on the word to come that they found a heart and he is heading to surgery. Today, Brandon got another pretty cool visit from our very own Randy Edsall. Here are two pictures on Brandons page of the visit. 1375093_10100455189014513_1945249681_n_medium

I know that coaches do this a lot but when it makes a kid that you have known for a while going through what he is going through smile like the smile in that picture is has a little bit more of an impact on you. Pretty cool Coach Edsall, pretty cool!
