Maryland has released their depth chart for their second week contest against Old Dominion, with only two changes (and one name change).
Caleb Rowe is Maryland's backup quarterback - at least for the week - beating out Ricardo Young. In his post-game press conference Saturday, head coach Randy Edsall suggested the decision may be week-to-week, but Rowe's solo placement on the depth chart suggests the coach may have made a more permanent decision.
Rowe filled in for C.J. Brown in Maryland's opening win against FIU, completing five of six passes for 44 yards and runing twice for two yards.
Also winning out a position battle is backup left guard Silvano Altamirano, who beat out Gary Harraka for second-string duties behind De'Onte Arnett.
The only remaining position battle is at backup defensive end, with Alex Walker and Andre Monroe battling for time behind Keith Bowers.
Also of note - Jeremiah Johnson is on the depth chart, so it appears his injury was not serious.
A name change, of sorts - Amba Etta is now listed on the depth chart as Amba Etta-Tawo. Etta-Tawo has long been referred to as the latter, but it's good to see the depth chart reflect it as well.
