After learning for sure earlier this week that Maryland would be revealing a new version of their pride uniform, there has been much speculation about the exact design. Yesterday, Uniwatch gave us mock up specs of what the uniform would look like, although that design hasn't been confirmed by the University or Under Armour. Regardless, it seems apparent that something similar to this will be what Maryland wears this Saturday in Baltimore.
One thing those specs lacked were pictures of some of the accessories that will go with the uniform, such as the helmet and gloves. Many have stated and speculated that the helmet and other accessories were really going to give this version of the uniform the "wow" factor. Last night, @UMTerps gave us another piece of the puzzle when they tweeted out this:

Those. Are. Awesome. The gloves are just amazing and tie into the "Defend the state" theme that has surrounded this border battle game against WVU. The socks tie into the red theme of the uniform, but still give homage to the entirety of the state flag. Additionally, the socks in the photo match the ones in the mock up specs that Uniwatch tweeted yesterday, so it's probably a safe bet to say that those images are going to be pretty close to what we see on Saturday. With there clearly being a "defend the state" theme, I wonder if the new helmet will somehow incorporate the outline of the state, similar to what the gloves above show.
What do you think? I really want to know what the helmet looks like. Under Armour is hosting an event tonight at their store in Baltimore at 7:00 PM, where I believe they'll officially display the uniforms for Saturday's game.
