Another week, another win. Another win means less guys with stock down. Also, it makes my job easier (knocking on all the wood possible).
Stock Rising:
WR Stefon Diggs -- Wait, you all said I was crazy for having his stock rising last week after a monster performance and said 'how could it get any higher?' Well, this happened.
WR Malcolm Culmer and Taivon Jacobs - Both move up the depth chart due to the injury to Nigel King. Culmer moves into a starting role after recording a catch for 26 yards last week. Jacobs may or may not see the field this weekend, but his name is on the depth chart.
LB Marcus Whitfield - I couldn't save him for you guys in the comments this week. He continued on his tear to start the season after his 3.0 sack performance.
LB Yannick Cudjoe-Virgil - Another guy who had a huge game last week with 2.5 sacks. You can never have enough guys who can rush the passer.
P Nathan Renfro - Proved his worth after just six punts in the first two games. He had two punts downed inside the 20 last week. #PuntersArePeopleToo
Holding Steady:
RB Brandon Ross - Finished with 95 yards on 18 carries (a healthy 5.3 ypc), Ross maintained his spot atop the depth chart at running back.
CB Isaac Goins and Will Likely - Both have been performing well so far this season in spot duty, but now both will be counted on heavily moving forward. How these two fare next week will tell a lot about the rest of the season -- or until Jeremiah Johnson is healthy enough to return.
LB Cole Farrand - He's just so steady. After a quiet game against Old Dominion he led the team in tackles. I can't put everyone in stock rising, can I?
Stock Falling:
CB Dexter McDougle - You can't help but love everything this kid brought to the program. I wish him nothing but the best moving forward and hope he has a long and successful career in the NFL. This is not a reflection of him as a player or person, but unfortunately he can't contribute to the team any more and that, in itself, is the reason the stock is down. The secondary will definitely miss him, as will the team in general on the field. Get well soon, Dex.
RB Albert Reid - After weeks of people saying in the comments that Reid deserved more carries, I think we can say after this week that he did not. Hopefully, for now, we have quieted the starting running back debate after his five-carry, 11-yard day.
Who else do you have rising, falling or holding steady? Sound off in the comments!
