There has been a lot of discussion over the last few weeks about a possible new Maryland football uniform making an appearance this season. Speculation had been that a new uni could debut this Saturday against West Virginia, but nothing had been formally announced. That all changed tonight:

It appears this will be a new version of the Maryland Pride uniform, which debuted in 2011 on Labor Day against Miami in a nationally televised game.
Last season, a black version of the pride uniform appeared:
And this year? Some people speculated that perhaps a red-ops jersey would be making a debut, similar in style to the white ops that Maryland wore last season against WVU in Morgantown. But the UMTerps tweet seems to indicate that this will be a new variation of the pride uniform. But how will it be different? They've done a white and black version and I can't really see them doing a red pride uniform. Logistically, with the red portion of the flag, it seems that it would be hard to not have it just blend in with the rest of the uniform. The image used in that tweet seems to keep things vague, but there are some gray undertones to it. But that could mean absolutely nothing. Maybe they've changed where the flag pattern appears on the uniform itself? Maybe it's a very abstract version of the uniform?
Whatever it is, debuting it against West Virginia in Baltimore makes sense, since that is where Under Armour is based, Maryland has a lot of momentum going into the game with a 3-0 record, and the game will be televised on ESPNU, meaning there will be a good amount of exposure for the new threads. Additionally, Maryland has been advertising and marketing this game as the Border Battle in Baltimore, telling fans we have to "Protect Our State"

What do you all think they'll look like? I'm hoping we get a sneak peek soon, because Saturday is still 4 days away...
