Maryland vs. FIU score update: Terps still lead 40-10 after scoreless third

Not much happened in the third quarter, as Maryland has layed off the gas a bit with a 40-10 lead.

Maryland punted for the first time in the game, as Nate Renfro sent one 35 yards away after Dave Stinebaugh dropped a third down C.J. Brown pass. On FIU's following drive, Marcus Whitfield sacked Jake Medlock to force the three-and-out.

E.J. Hilliard came in for FIU at quarterback later in the quarter, and his first pass was picked off by Dexter McDougle, who tipped the ball up and made a fantastic catch on the ground. A few drives later, Roman Braglio got in on the action with his first collegiate sack, and Marcus Whitfield added his second of the day.

Caleb Rowe came out at quarterback for Maryland, with the first-team offensive line remaining in the game.
