A quick news hit from College Park while we prepare for the opening game against FIU - Maryland basketball has added Penn State transfer Jonathan Graham, via Rachel Klein. Graham, who redshirted last season, is the son of former Maryland star Ernest Graham.
The younger Graham was a two-time All-Met selection at Calvert Hall, and will be on scholarship at Maryland. According to Klein, Graham may have a chance of securing a waiver. He averaged 3.9 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game as a freshman, but fell to 1.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game last season. The player is expected to move in to College Park later this week.
Graham was a three-star recruit coming out of high school, and stands at 6'8", weighing 220 pounds. His dad holds the Maryland single game scoring record, with 44 against North Carolina State in 1978.
Prewitt offers some more insight:
Doubt Graham, son of #Terps great Ernie, will be on scholarship past the year. Team plans to file for NCAA waiver, per source.

So if Graham does not get a waiver, this could be a complete non-news item. We will keep you updated as his story progresses.
