Maryland Minute - 8.3.13 - OT Madaras Suspended as Maryland Opens Football Camp Tomorrow

With Maryland set to open camp tomorrow, the University announced another football player suspension, with starting LT Mike Madaras was suspended for two weeks. Fortunately, he is eligible to return on August 9th. We also get an update on Shaq's injury that will unfortunately prevent him from playing in the Bahamas.

Terps OT Madaras suspended two weeks - The Diamondback : Blogs
Terrapins football offensive lineman Mike Madaras was suspended for two weeks for violating university policy, a university spokesman announced Friday. Fortunately, it was retroactive to July 26, so he'll be eligible to return Aug. 9. This is also a good time to remind folks about Maryland's lack of O-Line depth. If there is any position Maryland can't really afford to have a major injury (or suspension), it's the o-line.

Feel bad for Shaq in that he won't be able to play in the upcoming trip to the Bahamas. where he's from. At least he still gets to go on the trip though. He's dropped 30 lbs by the way and Mitchell has dropped 20. Can't wait to see this team in action. Still no word on whether they'll have any kind of TV coverage.
