This year will be the 15th (!) annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge, and the schedule has been announced for the games. Maryland will play at Ohio State on Wednesday, December 4, with tip-off at 7 p.m., with the game to be broadcasted on either ESPN or ESPN2. The games will be available on WatchESPN, as well.
Last year, the Challenge was split, with six wins for each conference. The ACC won the first ten Challenges, with the Big Ten taking the next three before last year's tie. This will be Maryland's last Challenge on the ACC side of things.
The Terps are 10-4 all time in the challenge, with a 4-1 record on the road. Ohio State is 6-6, with a 4-2 record at home. The Terps beat Northwestern last year by a score of 77-57. The Terrapins and Buckeyes have never faced each other in the Challenge - they last played in 1985, and Ohio State holds a 3-2 lead in the all-time series.
