The former Maryland guard will be a Trojan.

Former Maryland point guard Pe'Shon Howard has landed at USC, a source confirmed to Galen Central, a USC basketball blog. Howard left College Park to be closer to his grandmother in Los Angeles, and it would seem likely for him to be granted a hardship waiver, allowing him to play immediately for new head coach Andy Enfield.

The article on Galen Central included quotes from Howard.

"The main reason I chose USC was to be closer to my family," Howard said in a telephone interview. "My grandmother being sick factored a lot into the decision. My dad grew up in the area, so I was really familiar with USC growing up."

"We have a great relationship," Howard said about Enfield. "He told me his plans for me and the program, and made me feel comfortable."

"It would be a dream come true to play right away," Howard said.

MVPe' played three years at Maryland, averaging 4.7 points and 3.5 assists per game. He is expected to compete for the starting point guard spot right away at USC. We wish him the best of luck.
