Is Dion Wiley Going to Commit to Maryland Tomorrow? UPDATE: YES

Maryland may be receiving good news from a significant local talent

Jason Szenes

According to a pair of tweets by Edgar Walker, the director of DMV Elite scouting, local four-star shooting guard Dion Wiley may commit to Maryland as early as tomorrow morning. Earlier today, the Baltimore Sun posted a story via IMS that said Maryland was on top of Wiley's six-school list. If Walker is to believed, that list has significantly shortened.

Maryland has long been rumored the leader for Wiley, but the apple cart was upset a little bit when Indiana offered Wiley a month ago. He's from Oxon Hill and goes to Potomac, and plays for local powerhouse Team Takeover. Wiley is ranked the 49th-best player in the nation by Rivals and the 55th-best by 24/7. ESPN likes him most of all - they're the only service to give him five stars, ranking him 22nd in the country (and as the third-best shooting guard).

This would be a pretty big get - Wiley also had offers from Florida, Georgetown, and Villanova, among a host of others. We'll stay on the story tomorrow morning.

An update - it happened.
