Pe'Shon Howard's Top Games as a Terp: Number 3 - Albany

After Molly's great five-part series on Alex Len's best games as a Terrapin, we thought it would be a good idea to look at the other departing Terps. First up, transferring point guard Pe'Shon Howard.

#3: Maryland 83, Albany 72

Known forever as the "Stoglin Year", the 2011 Terps finished at around .500, but not before a hot start that gave them a 7-3 start in conference play. The Terps had not yet won a game by double-digits, and they welcomed America East foe Albany and their 7-5 record to the Comcast Center.

The game was perhaps most notable as Alex Len's Maryland debut, after sitting out the first ten games of the year due to NCAA requirements. Len scored 14 with eight rebounds and three blocks, Stoglin had 22 points, and some guy on Albany named Logan Aronhalt had 13 points with six rebounds and made two three point attempts.

Most notably, for our purposes, it was Pe'Shon Howard's second game back from injury. After a less-than-stellar performance against Radford, the point guard responded well, with 11 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. His struggles were still there - he turned the ball over six times and had three fouls, but he helped lead the Terps to an 83-72 victory (at the time tied for their largest of the season).

Howard looked comfortable throughout the game running the point, and had another hockey assists, where the player he passed to immediately passed it off for an assist. Even better was his shooting - notoriously shaky throughout his Maryland career, he made all three of his field goals (including one-for-one on three pointers) and all four free throw attempts.
