UPDATE - Taylor won and will now travel up to ESPN headquarters for the finals. More on that here.
Back in the day, there used to be a really cool show called "Stump the Schwab," in which contestants tried to answer more trivia questions than Howie Schwab, a sports trivia master. Well, ESPN Unite has brought the Schwab back, featuring him on the show and having him take on college students from across the country. Every Wednesday for nine weeks, college students have faced-off in the sports-trivia show answering questions about college sports, professional sports, pop-culture and social media for a chance to represent their college conference in the playoffs.
Tonight, Maryland student Taylor Smyth will be one of three players featured on the show, trying to stump the Schwab. If he does, he'll earn himself a trip to Bristol, CT for the finals. Here's a sneak peak clip from tonight's show. Check it out tonight on ESPN U. If Taylor does end up winning, we'll see if we can get a hold of him to ask him about the experience. Until then, wish a fellow Terp good luck!
