Happy Friday, y'all. Here's everything you need to know about Maryland from the interwebs. Enjoy.

Maryland basketball schedules Morgan State, unlikely to play Baltimore game in foreseeable future
The most important part of this piece is that they're not playing in Baltimore anytime soon, which is really a shame because it would be good for recruiting. I remember when the Baltimore game was a regular thing, but it pretty much stopped when Maryland started playing in the BB&T Classic. With talk of Maryland not participating in that moving forward, I was hopeful that a Baltimore game would be a real possibility, but Turgeon indicated that they just couldn't get it done. Maybe now they'll play a game in Cole instead?

Montrose Christian basketball coach Vetter to resign - baltimoresun.com
Stu Vetter, one of the winningest high school basketball coaches of all time, will step down from his position at Montrose Christian in Rockville at the end of the summer. Pretty big deal, especially for local recruiting. Vetter and Gary Williams had a pretty good relationship, but Mark Turgeon's relationship with him wasn't nearly as good. Will be interesting to see who they hire to replace him. Keith Booth would be my ideal choice.

BB&T Classic Favors George Mason Over Maryland - Terrapin Station - A Maryland Terrapins Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.
Speaking of Maryland's basketball schedule, Terrapin Station gave their take on Maryland's opponent in the BB&T Classic this year and John Feinstein, who helps organize and run the event chimed in. I have to say, I initially agreed with the main point of the Terrapin Station guys in that I thought Maryland got handed GW vs. Turgeon asking for them to avoid a return trip to Oklahoma State. I probably wouldn't have been that harsh about the event, since it's a fundraiser for kids, but I still can't believe Feinstein responded in the comments.
