After compiling a 22-0 record, the women's lacrosse team lost an overtime thriller to UNC in the National Championship game on Sunday.

#1 Terps Drop Heartbreaker in Title Game
Tough, tough loss. It's never fun when the first game you lose is in the National Championship game. This was an extremely exciting game, lots of back and forth scoring. Maryland was at their best when they won faceoffs and could quickly get down the field before UNC set up their defense. The Terps had several chances to score in the various overtimes, including right before UNC hit the game winner, but they just couldn't get it done.
