The field of 64 was announced today and there were eight teams in there that the Terps had beaten. Like last year the deciding factor had to have been not making the ACC Tournament. All eight teams in the ACC tournament made the NCAA tournament this year. Plus, playing three more ACC games would have boosted the team's SOS and thus their RPI.
