We knew it would be brutal, but boy is it brutal.

Check out the full Big Ten schedule here.

Maryland will play their inaugural Big Ten conference game on September 27, 2014 on the road against Indiana. Their conference home opener? That would be against Ohio State on October 4th. I'd expect that to be one of the largest crowds in Byrd Stadium history. Just a guess.

With the new East-West divisions in the B1G, each team plays every division team, plus two cross overs from the other division. Who did Maryland draw in 2014? Iowa (home) and at Wisconsin, arguably the two best programs in the Western division. There are two "bye" weeks listed, but I suspect only one of those will be a real bye week and the other will be filled with a non-conference foe. Maryland is already scheduled to play at USF on September 6 and at Temple on September 20th. Maryland also has games with JMU and West Virginia, but both of those are unscheduled as of now. I'm guessing WVU will be on September 13th though.

So what do you think? Maybe it's the newness factor, but it feels like we're in a real football conference. Now we just have to win some games.
