Mark Turgeon: Terps concentrating on ‘trying to build a program’
As the Terps prepare to take on Wake, a nice look back on the season and building towards the future. Also, Turgeon is still ticked about the technical called on Pe'Shon during the UVA game.
"I’ve not gotten an explanation yet," Turgeon said. "I’ve got a call in [to the ACC], they’re going to watch it, I got the referee’s explanation, I don’t think…I’ve got to be careful. I can’t say. I’ll let the league try to handle it. The next foul put them in the bonus, seven fouls with 14 minutes to go, and we’re a team that likes to play without fouling. On the film, you can say Pe’Shon waving and being a kid, getting excited. I’ve got to be vague."
Terps spring football practice report: Day 5
Alex Prewitt of the Post breaks down day 5 of football spring practice. Of note:
Young’s absence, coupled with C.J. Brown’s limited status, meant Dustin Dailey received full repetitions during team drills. The redshirt sophomore, who sat out last season after transferring from Div. III Lewis & Clark (Ore.) College, again struggled with his accuracy, especially on swing passes into the flat.
"I am going to do everything I can with all of my resources to make sure that wrestling stays in the Olympics," McCoy said. "I will influence. I will educate. And we’re trying to get in touch with as many people, international federations and media members and really sing the praises of why wrestling is important."
Ratcliffe: ACC basketball will never be the same - Cavalier Insider: M Basketball
Jerry Ratcliffe from Cavalier Insider laments that the 60th ACC basketball tournament will be the last one as we know it. In my opinion, the true ACC Tournament died when BC, Miami and VT joined the conference. It is sad that this is likely the last year before double byes, but I've really moved on. B1G for life.
Seven Run Seventh Sends Terps Past Marist, 9-3
The baseball team defeated Marist, improving to 9-0 at home this season.
