Testudo Times is looking for contributors!

Want to write about the Terps? Here's your chance.

Pete here, with a brief editorial message. We want you to write for us about the Terps! What are we looking for?

  • Passionate, smart fans who want their voice heard about their favorite team
  • People with a desire to have an original voice out there about the Terrapins
  • Statistical and/or tactical knowledge is a plus!
  • Above all, people who know (and love) their Terps inside and out and want to share their informed opinion to others, and are willing to take an objective view at the team
  • An idea for a recurring story to write is even better
Specifically, we're looking for a few more people to handle some of the analysis-type stuff -- post-game features, "the sky is falling fire everybody" posts, "the sky is fine don't fire anybody" posts, and breakdowns of games (that one being key). If you feel comfortable doing any of those things, or just want to give it a shot, send us an e-mail at

Your application should include:

  • A brief (brief!) cover letter detailing why you think you're a good fit for the team
  • Your name and time availability
  • A story of at least 500 words on either the most recent basketball/football game (George Washington/NC State), the next basketball/football game (Boston College/Marshall) or the basketball/football season at-large.

We will be accepting applications at least through the end of this week (so at least through December 15).

As an editorial note, we are aware of concerns some of you have had about content diminishing comments sections, and we're aware of that. This will not get in the way of that -- we think there is room for more voices, especially in the analysis field, on this site, and we will make sure the comments section stays a-flowin'. In fact, we're opening this up to you folks (instead of a job board or somewhere of that like), because we love our commenters and want their voices to be heard.

Let us know if you have any questions, either by that e-mail above or in the comments section!
