Maryland-Tulsa: Gamethread

Maryland tries to rebound against Tulsa, following a loss against Boston University, with guard Seth Allen(!) making his season debut.

So this game got a lot more interesting when Mark Turgeon announced that point guard Seth Allen will be making his earlier than expected season debut on Sunday against Tulsa. Allen wasn't expected back until mid-January, so an early return will hopefully be a much needed boost to a Maryland team that has struggled with inconsistency this season.

Allen was expected to handle the starting point guard duties this season before suffering a fractured foot back in October. Dez Wells and freshman Roddy Peters have mostly handled the point guard duties so far this season, with Peters claiming the starting spot of late. Allen will probably only see a few minutes each half, according to head coach Mark Turgeon, so for now, he'll be slowly working to get his legs back under him.

So for this game, we'll go with some Seth Allen predictions:

Number of minutes for Allen

Number of points for Allen

Number of assists for Allen

Number of rebounds for Allen

Final prediction.

I'm not going to bother with a score prediction, because I just can't get anywhere close to reality of late. So I'll do a random, baseless prediction and say that Nick Faust hits a bank-in three pointer.
