Maryland Stock Report: Terps get much needed holiday break

Every week with gauge whose stock is going up and down around the Maryland program.

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Christmas to you and your family (if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday) from us and thank you for continuing to visit, read and interact with us here at Testudo Times!

Stock Rising:

Dez Wells -- After an off game against Florida Atlantic he was back to his efficient self against Boston University in the loss. He had 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks in the game.

Evan Smotrycz -- His defense isn't always the best and sometimes he makes a careless mistake, but he's becoming more involved in just about everything. He's clearly the third best option for scoring on the team and the team's top rebounder. More Smo is good for us all.

Stock Holding:

Randy Edsall -- Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Edsall to Texas train doesn't have much steam. It would be a great move for him and the program. I mean, if you were so inclined to keep that going, I'm certainly not going to stop you.

Football odds -- They seem to be holding steady at Marshall -2.5. If I were a betting man and the money started to shift back towards a pick'em I'd probably feel less easy about this.

Stock Falling:

Ricardo Young -- Sent home from the Military Bowl and not even sure he gets to keep his PS4. That's a dagger.

Shaq Cleare and Charles Mitchell -- We've seen lately that both are being passed up in favor of Jonathan Graham in the second half. We'll see how Turgeon handles this, but it's something to file away to remember once ACC play comes around.

I'm trying not to be too negative on a holiday, but if you're feeling like a grinch feel free to add to the stock falling category.
