High School Highlights:

How'd He Get to College Park?

Mitchell was recruited by a host of Southern schools including Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Memphis, and there was question about whether the Terps would be able to get him to leave there. But he visited College Park in early March 2012 and committed to Mark Turgeon just days later, adding to a great 2012 class.

Career Highlight:

Set career highs with a 19 point, 14 rebound effort against Delaware State as a freshman.

Dream Season:

Mitchell earns a starting spot and leads the team in both offensive and defensive rebounds, while providing key offensive production down low.

2013 Prospectus:

Mitchell will likely start the year coming off the bench, a role he was great in last year. He has a great motor and seems to always find a way to grab his share of rebounds, even in limited minutes. Depending on how Shaq Cleare does, Mitchell could play his way into the starting lineup. The Terps are going to need both offensive and defensive production from him and he should be a key part of this team in the front court.

Up Next:

Our next player is someone Terps fans should be spending plenty of time talking about -- if they can pronounce his name.
