Nickens, listed at 6'6" and 180 pounds, attends the Westtown School in Pennsylvania, and is one of the most dynamic three-point shooters in the 2014 class. He committed to the program on June 14 just days after Dion Wiley did the same.
Rated as a four-star by the 247sports composite, Nickens is considered the 97th-best player in the class. He is rated as the 23rd-best small forward in the country, and the fourth-best player in the state of Pennsylvania. He also had offers from Miami, Oklahoma, Temple and Wake Forest, among others.
Melo Trimble and Dion Wiley are the star guards of the class, but Nickens provides a lethal shot from the perimeter and will be a dangerous weapon for the Terrapins from the otuside.
Here's a highlight video from his previous high school, when he played in New Jersey.
