Maryland kept busy on the football side of things this week, nabbing two football commitments. Let's run down the week that was in recruiting.
First, basketball:
Old friend Sam Cassell Jr. took an official visit to Louisville.
2014 four-star center Chinanu Onuaku is expected to announce between Louisville, Miami and Georgetown Friday.
A week after fellow 2015 Wheeler (Ga.) stud Jaylen Brown took a visit to Athens, Daniel Giddens took an unofficial visit to the University of Georgia. They both received visits from a Florida coach, as well.
2015 five-star power forward Cheick Diallo visited Pittsburgh.
Now for football news:
Two commitments! Four-star wide receiver Juwann Winfree and two-star safety Jordan Noil.
2014 running back commit Johnathon Thomas required season-ending surgery after a knee injury.
2015 four-star quarterback Kai Locksley received an in-home visit and a scholarship offer from Northwestern. He also took an unofficial visit to Ohio State.
2014 three-star safety Shawn Boone visited Ohio State, and it seems highly unlikely he will end up at Maryland. He has been removed from the Big Board.
2015 four-star Gonzaga lineman Richie Petitbon took an unofficial visit to Alabama.
2015 four-star offensive tackle Austin Clark took an unofficial visit to Tennessee.
2015 defensive back Elias Cane took an unofficial visit to Vanderbilt.
2015 Reisterstown athlete Jordan Adams received an offer from West Virginia.
