Maryland star wide receiver Stefon Diggs was carted off the field with a right leg injury during the fourth quarter of the Terps' game against Wake Forest Saturday afternoon.
Diggs and Long had formed a fearsome duo at receiver for the Terps, but both are now out with leg injuries. Long was injured earlier in the game.
Diggs received the injury on a slant pass over the middle, when his leg was rolled up on by a Wake Forest player (the same thing that happened to Long).
11 starters and three key backups are out for the Terrapins now, most due to injury. Long and Diggs are the two most high-profile, but running back Brandon Ross also received an injury in the game.
The sophomore had a team-high eight catches for 167 yards before the injury. Long was the team's leading receiver at the time of his injury.
The severely hampered Terrapins are currently being blown out by the Demon Deacons.
