Been a crazy few days back east, I hear. Hope everyone in the area is safe and doing well. If you're just getting back on the ol' internets, well, I can at least greet you with some good news:
Local safety Elvis Dennah commits, keeps commitment train rolling
For Juan's sake, slow down on the football recruiting, guys. You're not going to have any room left by the time the season starts.
It's a premium article, but the headline and teaser are clear enough. Dennah's a two-star/unrated type without any other big offers, so I'm assuming he was a camp offer. With Mike Williams having recently backed out, he's commitment #13, I believe.
Devon Hall commits to Virginia, reclassifies to 2013 - CBSSports
Sadly, not all news can be good. Still, this is pretty meh to me. Hall was a great target for 2014, but that's a loaded class with a lot of local talent anyway. Reclass to 2013 and Maryland has better options anyway. The only disappointment is that it seemed he really enjoyed his visit to Maryland, but let that be a lesson to you about recruit interviews. Unless they say "I think I'll commit," it's just one big game.
Kind of does suck that he's going to Virginia, though.
Kaleb Joseph impresses, lists Maryland
So let's just jump into Hall's likely replacement target on the trail, four-star PG Kaleb Joseph. He apparently impressed at a camp in the northeast over the weekend, where Rivals called him "a true distributive point guard." He lists Maryland as one of the schools going after him the most, and of the list he gives, they should be one of the frontrunners.
Mychal Parker won't play at Loyola after all
Didn't fulfill academic requirements while at Maryland. (Wonder what that'll do to Maryland's APR, if anything.) He can still play at a D-II or NAIA school for a season, and possibly transfer back up for his senior year. Hope everything turns out for him.
Coach: Terps recruit Jacquille Veii has 'all the tools' - Sun
Ran his 40 in 4.3. That's a lot of speed. It's clear the staff is emphasizing it in this class; Maryland may not have that much size, but you can guarantee they'll have some burners.
Maryland football's already offering 2016 prospects
That's - what, a rising freshman? Goodness. Edsall taking a page out of the ol' Lane Kiffin book, believe it or not.
