There wasn't that much news this weekend. So, let's look at the non-revenue folks (plus some recruiting tidbits down low):
Back on Top: Terps Win 2011 ACC Wrestling Championship
At least one sport continually dominates.
Men's Lacrosse: Duke Outlasts Maryland for Overtime Win
Duke isn't supposed to be that great this year (#19 currently) so it's a pretty disappointing road loss.
I wish I knew more about lacrosse, so I could actually analyze this.
Excellent Pitching Gives Maryland Doubleheader Sweep « Terrapin Station
Maryland lost the first game to Canisius, but won the doubleheader yesterday. It's a building process, but at least things are trending upwards.
Maryland plus-minus: Virginia - D1scourse
The only reason I post it is because this is the season-ending +/-. In the ACC, the highest +/- (per minute) came from Pe'Shon Howard, which I find moderately surprising. Not surprising in the least: Cliff Tucker and James Padgett had the two lowest numbers (per minute) in conference play.
Another mock sends Torrey Smith to the Ravens at #26
This one is from Pat Kirwan at NFL.com. I don't think it's likely, but it's definitely a possibility.
VT Gets Commitment from Montrezl Harrell, 2012 Combo Forward
Maryland had an offer and some early mutual interest, though that faded. He's #50 on ESPN and #58 on Rivals. Greenberg is stockpiling some crazy talent down there. Enought to make me worry.
On another note, let's try to make this Justin Anderson thing happen, okay? Get off to a running start, just for once. Other teams do it.
Aquille Carr drops 44 on Urbana, watch the mixtape to prove it
Unbelievable talent. Just watch.
