What's better then your new football coach landing a solid 4-star guy who's local? How about landing two good local kids in as many days. The Terps received their 2nd verbal commitment for the 2012 class when McDonogh DE Roman Braglio pledged to the Terps last night. At 6'4" and 235, Braglio is a solid 3-4 star DE who also had an offer from West Virginia. While they hadn't officially offered yet, Braglio also had interest from several big name football programs including Penn State, Tennessee and Pitt.
Braglio might have to put on some more size before he becomes a factor on defense, but he's still a junior and probably has some more growing to do before he even steps foot on campus.
Again, as Ben B. alluded to yesterday, seeing Edsall already make a difference locally in recruiting is a big deal. In his town hall meetings he's emphasized locking down the state's football talent and it's clear he and his staff are making inroads to do just that. Let's hope this trend continues.
