Maryland Minute 1.14.11 - Terps Coaching Staff Continues to Come Together

We know, we know: it's basketball season. I guess this is what excitement in the football program feels like. Be careful what you wish for, I suppose. Good news: there's a huge game tomorrow.

Q&A with Maryland coach Randy Edsall - Dinich
A lot of nothing, but it's really nice-sounding nothing.

Offensively, what I want to be able to do is stretch the field horizontally and vertically and be multiple in terms of what we do and build upon the abilities the players we have here, just build on what they already have and build on their abilities and take advantage of the guys we feel can make plays.

Brattan Returning as OL Coach - UMTERPS.COM
Brattan is staying on as OL coach. Good move, Edsall.

Crowton may not be 100% - Terrapins Insider
Edsall's calling it "good speculation." I'd be shocked if it didn't happen, but hey, you never know.

Kenny Tate Scouting Report from Mocking the Draft
No one really knows if Kenny Tate's heading to the NFL. No official announcement has been made either way, while the official deadline is the 15th (that's tomorrow or today, depending on when you're reading this). We'll know soon.

Either way, the guys at Mocking the Draft have a scouting report of him, and it's worth a read. Unsurprisingly, they conclude he's best at making plays and tackling; his coverage skills are average, and that's only to be expected considering he's a natural WR. Hopefully he decides to polish them for a season. Tate on next year's team would be a very nice development indeed.

Recruiting Report: Weekly recruiting roundup - Lafayette Pitts Visiting
Pitts is a teammate of recent commitment Quinton Jefferson and a former Pitt commitment. He's a three-star on all three major services, and may be either a RB or a CB. He'd be a nice addition at either position, to be honest, and is pretty electric with the ball. Also, Corey Tindal says he's still considering Maryland; that would be another pretty big get if A.J. Hendy goes elsewhere.

SBN Bubble Watch: Terps On Bubble Early - SBN
Well, of course they are. Hopefully tomorrow can change that.

Maryland Basketball: Where Are They Now?: Terence Morris Euroleague Highlights
A day or two old, but worth a click regardless: a few highlights of T-Mo doing his thing in Euroleague.
