C'mon Fairfield, show some self-respect. Getting whooped in basketball and lacrosse? Weak.
As for Maryland, the easy win gave them their 10th win of the season and sent off the couple of senior Terps in style. Can't complain about that.

Martay Mattox on Verge of Making Decision
Martay Mattox is a somewhat highly-touted QB/ATH from Athens, GA, who will supposedly be announcing his decision sometime around May 14. Martay says it's down to two schools, and Maryland is one:
"I'm pretty much down to South Carolina and Maryland unless another school comes in this spring," he said. "South Carolina and Maryland are about the same right now. I don't know my decision yet."
I'd be surprised if he didn't end up at SC, but you never know with Maryland's recruiting these days. I'm a Mattox fan. His arm isn't amazing and he's got a funky delivery, but he's very elusive and exciting. If he ends up a Terp, it'd be quite the pull.

The Norvel Pelle blow-up has begun. Let's just hope there's legitimate interest in Maryland. Evan Daniels, linked above, took a liking to him, as did Eric Bossi.
