The Citadel Names Chuck Driesell Head Basketball Coach
Here's The Citadel's perspective of the Chuck Driesell hire. Not an easy job to win at, so best of luck to Chuck.
"We are excited about the future of Bulldog Basketball as we welcome Chuck Driesell and his family to The Citadel," said Leckonby. "He has an outstanding reputation of developing skilled athletes and being a top-notch recruiter. Having served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy, it is no doubt that his leadership skills will attract and produce principled leaders on and off the court."
Recruiting Report: Del. OL Evan Mulrooney on his UM commitment

Stud 2012 PG Transfer to St. Anthony's, Could Emerge as MD Target
This is a little speculative, but Kyle Anderson, a 2012 PG that stands at a ridiculous 6-8 and has a lot of high-level interest, just transferred to St. Anthony's, also known as Ashton Pankey's alma mater. He's also on the USA U17 team with current Maryland commitment Sterling Gibbs. Those two factors very well could make Anderson a Maryland target.
Terps Offer O-Lineman Shane Mertz
His only other offer is Duke, and his interest list isn't too impressive but you've gotta trust the staff, I guess. - BG
Fact-checking: Does that new QB kill your team's BCS chances?
Answer: kill might be over the line, but it certainly hurts. Darn. Guess that means Maryland's Orange Bowl hopes are shot, huh?
Profile on Latest Maryland (Baseball) Commitment
Philadelphia centerfielder, Jon McAllister, signed his LOI to play for Maryland last week. He's apparently receiving pro interest, and picked Maryland over Clemson. That's no easy feat; Bakich is growing on me.
