Catalino's six goals powers Terps past Tar Heels - D1SCOURSE
Maryland whooped up on North Carolina in the ACC lacrosse semi-finals. They'll play UVA for the ACC title on Sunday at 3:30. That'll be a great one.

Diamondback - In Haus' journey, friends become foes
Awesome story here: Maryland lacrosse freshman John Haus was originally committed to North Carolina, where his father was the coach. Pops got fired, and Haus turned against his favorite childhood team, turning to Maryland. The Terps gladly accepted the commitment. Guess what? He scored three goals against UNC in tonight's game. Take that, Heels!

Interesting Note: Chuck Driesell a Citadel HC Possibility?
This from the Post and Courier. A little unexpected, huh?

VMI head coach Duggar Baucom, Maryland assistant Chuck Driesell and Merchant Marine Academy coach John Krikorian all have interviewed for the job, several sources close to The Citadel program have told The Post and Courier.

I have to imagine that Driesell, despite a lack of coaching experience, is the best candidate out of that group. Baucom hasn't found consistent success at VMI, and it's a big jump from DIII to DI.

I'm a little conflicted here. On the one hand, I want Chuck D to find some success. On the other, I'm not exactly ready to wave a successful recruiting coordinator good-bye.

Florida State's Solomon Alabi entering NBA draft
Well, didn't see that coming. Definitely hurts FSU, too; Ryan Reid was the only player leaving, and would've accounted for, oh, about 10% or so of most major statistical categories. That's like losing Dave Neal. Alabi heading out reduces FSU from "darkhorse contender" to "probably where they were this year."

Robinson ready to lead Maryland offense - ACC Blog - ESPN
Rather quick profile of possible (and current) Day One starter Jamarr Robinson. He's apparently working on decision making and his understanding of the offense, which is exactly what he should've been working on.

Va. Tech's Bill Courtney hired as Cornell coach
Virginia Tech loses an assistant of their own. Not sure how big of an impact he made at VT.
