ZagsBlog – Biruta Waiting on Rutgers Situation
Maryland is in the mix, along with a few others.

"Seton Hall, Maryland, Creighton, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, these are the schools," he said.

Other than that, he's just waiting on getting a release from Rutgers, which means he needs to wait on the resolution of Fred Hill's "situation".

Mike Rosario Headed to Florida
Well, that dream died quickly, no?

Offer Aquille Carr Right Now
Matt Bracken has a recap of the Super 60 game, and it's glorious:

With about 1:45 remaining in the Class of 2013 game, Patterson point guard Aquille Carr drove down the right side of the court, facing blanket coverage from a Team Maryland defender the whole way. After dribbling one step inside the 3-point line, the 5-foot-6 Carr crossed over once, twice, faked forward, pulled back and buried an 18-footer as his opponent literally fell to the floor after biting on Carr’s fake.

"Un-uh. Nope. That’s it," said a Team Maryland assistant who rose from the bench, walked to the scorer’s table and called the game with less than 1:30 remaining.

Carr is a 5-6 freshman point guard out of Baltimore that's become the talk of Charm City. He might be severely undersized, but has extraordinary hops and is quicker than lightning. He reportedly already has Kentucky, Memphis, Wake Forest, Delaware, and Arkansas on his tail. Let's make this happen.

Pitt Jam Fest Standouts: Hubert, Nastic
More of the same from block machine Desmond Hubert.

Desmond started his game vs. YAACE silver by blocking 4 shots in 6 possessions. He has great timing and blocked shots with both hands. Desmond is long, athletic, and played really aggressive today. While he needs to develop his back to the basket game, he's a wiry kid with a boat load of upside.

Meanwhile, Stefan Nastic is apparently looking good as well.

Big Ten expansion scenario: The process accelerates
The recommendation for Big Ten expansion could come within the coming days, or hours. If it does, is the Super-ACC suddenly a possibility? I want to look like a prophet.

More Positive Lax News, On the Women's Side
WLax head coach Cathy Reese won her 100th game on Saturday and secured a share of the ACC title. Domination.
