Was it unfair, in terms of how the team performed? Sure. Maryland is the 3rd or 4th best team in the ACC. But when NC State outdraws your best game of the season when they play East Carolina, you can't blame the bowls for doing what they did. When MD didn't sell out the FSU game, I think that was the beginning of the end of Maryland going to a good bowl, short of going to the ACC Title game. And I think it's going to take a trip to the ACC title game and maybe being ranked pre-season (which they should be...maybe 20-25 range?) to get the fans back in Byrd...

Biggest statistical contributor on Maryland: Terrell Stoglin. He is used on a higher percentage of possessions and takes a higher percentage of shots than Jordan Williams. No real surprise, I suppose, considering that Stoglin is a point guard and has no conscience, but interesting nonetheless. Also, he has an offensive rating nearly the same as Jordan Williams. -BB
