Former Terp Target Jordan Latham recommits to Xavier
After Sean Miller bolted for Arizona, Jordan Latham, the 6' 8" center from Baltimore, reopened his commitment and the Terps were tossed around as a possible destination.  However, the interest never seemed to be all that serious on either side.  Matt Bracken from the Baltimore Sun has a nice summary of the Baltimore product's decision.

"I made [my commitment Wednesday] night," Latham said. "It just came down to the school situation, where I was going to find the best fit and coaching staff. Everything was in place. Everything stayed perfect with Xavier, so it was a done deal after that."

Top 2010 Recruit C.J. Leslie still 'wide open'

No earth-breaking news here but it's still nice to get an update. Landing Leslie would obviously be a huge get for the 2010 class but I wouldn't hold my breath.  His list of potential suitors is long and it doesn't sound like a decision will be made anytime soon.

"I have a lot of things to consider," he says. "And this time I’m not going to rush. I want to take my time to make sure that whatever decision I make is the right decision for me."

Former Terp John Gilchrist gives Greivis advice on making the jump to the NBA

No, that headline isn't fake. Drew Forrester from WNST Radio sat down with Gilchrist this morning and discussed what he's been up to since leaving the team in 2005.  If you've got the time, it's actually a great listen.  Forrestor and Gilchrist touch on Greivis, Gilchrist's feeling towards Gary, whether or not he regrets leaving early, and his plans for the future.

Maryland to play at UNC Greensboro next season

Not sure if this was already public knowledge but Patrick Stevens from the Washington Times has a write up on it.  Interesting that Gary agreed to play the Seahwaks at UNC Greesboro as opposed to home at Comcast.  I guess a win away from home would help boost the RPI a little more.

Three Star Tight End Josh Lovell picks up offer from WVU, still lists Terps as No. 1

Lovell says that West Virginia was always his favorite college team growing up yet he still puts Maryland atop his list.  He also has an offer from Virginia Tech and interest seems to be picking up.  Hopefully the Fridge can wrap this guy up ASAP.

"Definitely Maryland is No. 1 by a long shot," he said. "But I want to visit Virginia Tech, North Carolina and check out West Virginia."

"Maryland is up there because they talk about playing time and how easily I could start my freshman year. They’ve talked about how they can use me and I like my recruiter, Coach Brattan. Coach Friedgen is cool too. I like them a lot."
