New school for Lance? Vinson rethinking UMD?

The Lance Stephenson decision took another turn today as rumors are circulating that Lance might now be looking at Memphis. I’ve just assumed that the Terps are out of it for him and I’m personally trying to move on, but I know a lot of people are still holding out hope. However, multiple media outlets are now saying the Terps are out of it, including USA Today. Who knows. I do think St. Johns is back in the picture because Stephenson recently because a father and I think staying close to his child has become a concern for him (but one would think that would have been a concern for the past 5-6 months, you know, once his girlfriend found out she was pregnant?)

In some bright news, a few sources are reporting that Terrell Vinson might not be locked in to UMass and might still be holding out hope for the Terps. TerpTalk.com has the story The basic jest of the article is that in Vasquez leaves and the Terps don’t get Stephenson, they’ll need a good shooting guard and the Vinson might fit the role nicely with former teammate Sean Mosley.  I’ve seen Vinson play and I’m not sure I agree with that. First, I think Vaz will be back and second I think Vinson would be behind Bowie and Tucker on the bench.

That’s all the news for now. Hopefully we’ll hear more news soon so we can finally close the door on all of this, but some how I see this dragging on into the summer…
