Kristi Toliver has had a great career as a Terp, and she capped it off by winning the ACC Women's Basketball Player of the Year award. She and Marissa Coleman were named to the All-ACC 1st Team, and the Terps won the regular season title. It's always good to see a Terp get some recognition.
In what was supposed to be a walk through, Maryland met a lot of opposition against Wake Forest in the first round of the ACC tournament. At one point, they were down by 12. But Toliver came up big the same day she was honored as the best in the league, and led a furious comeback to win by two.
Their next game is against the #11 team in the nation and the #4 seed in the ACC (that's just silly) North Carolina. The ACC is completely stacked, so winning the tourney will be a tough task.
