I listened to Jay-Z's "Izzo" for the first time today. I was a bit shocked when I heard him say "Home of the Terrapins". That made my day. Of course, it had nothing to do with the University of Maryland, only the state of Maryland's drug supply, but it was still encouraging. On to the links:
- No surprise here: Marissa Coleman and Kristi Toliver were named First Team All-NCAA. It would've been nice to finish the year with a championship, but they had a heck of a career at Maryland.
- Seth Hoffman has a nice writeup on the wide receiver situation next year. Of course, my boy Torrey Smith is featured prominently.
- Friend of Testudo Times Rush the Court currently has a "Modern March Madness" with the best teams since '85 going to head to head. Maryland's 2002 squad ended up losing to Arizona's '88 team in the first round - yeah, right.
- There's a link directly below this story indicating Calipari is on his way to Kentucky, but here's some reinforcement. Also, it seems Xavier Henry will definitely reopen his recruitment. He'll most likely end up at Kansas (he hasn't mentioned any other school yet), and if he does, Lance won't go there. This is falling into place for Maryland, it seems. Thank you, John Calipari.
