My bonsai tree died today, which was depressing. It's a good thing that links stories always cheer me up.
- The Lady Terps play against 3 seed Louisville in the Elite Eight today (I'll have a game thread up soon). The Washington Times has a preview of the game. Louisville's head coach, Jeff Walz, used to be Brenda's top assistant. Should be an interesting matchup.
- We now have more than just the outtakes from the Guitar Hero spot with Coach K, Roy, Pitino, and Bob Knight. The full commercial has hit, and there's good news: Bob Knight chucks the drum set at Metallica lead man, James Hetfield. See below:
- We travel to the future now to bring you a writeup in the New Republic that discusses New York basketball in general, but speficially talks about Lance. The publish date is set for April 19, 2009, so yes, we really traveled into the future to get this. Good thing, too, because it's a pretty good read.
- Zags has a mini-recap of Lance news in which he says absolutely nothing new except a "source" close to the family who guesses it'll be Kansas. The quote and source are worthless; the guy is going off of stuff that everyone knows about. He might as well be Zags himself. If this is the kind of source that ruled Maryland out, I wouldn't be too worried.
- Terp target Tobias Harris was named MVP of the Class A New York State Championships, scoring 27 and grabbing 15 boards in the final.
