It's a film made in 2007 (I think) by one of the original Beastie Boys. It centered around the inaugural Elite 24 game played in Rucker Park, with the best 24 HS basketball players regardless of grade. Naturally, Lance Stephenson was one of them, and he was only 15 years old at the time, going against seniors. While the movie itself was nothing special, the parts on Lance, I figured were enough to be postworthy. (I apologize for the small video). First is the intro:
The only truly notable thing relating to Lance, at least in terms of recruiting, comes at the end of the video - he mentions he wants to get to the NBA to "get his family out of this environment." While I'm probably reading too much into the statement, it could be an indicator that he doesn't exactly love it at home.
This is a 3/4 court shot that Lance nailed, pretty much the only highlight of the game for him. Unfortunately, his dance was horrible.
Also, Zagsblog has a tidbit on him - he'll be headed to the Super 6 Showdown on Friday. To be honest, I don't know what that is. It is funny how much he wants BR to go to St. John's, though - it's evident in this article.
