Isiah Epps, the highly touted 2010 PG recruit from New Jersey, will be playing at Pitt, not Maryland. Maryland was in the running early and was still a contender late - Epps says he heavily considered choosing UMD, but just felt more at home at Pitt.
Epps was really the headliner of that class for the Terps, so it's a bit of a disappointment. Meanwhile, Maryland must turn their attention to the other big recruit seriously considering them: Taran Buie, a combo guard from New York. His talent level is very similar to Epps', so if UMD can get him, the loss of Epps loses it's impact.
