Toliver Pre-season Player of the Year – Terps picked to finish 2nd in ACC

Sr. guard Kristi Toliver was named the pre-season Player of the Year in the ACC and the Women’s basketball team was picked to finish 2nd in the ACC behind UNC. Duke was picked to finish in 3rd.

On the All-ACC team, Toliver is joined by fellow Terp Sr. guard/forward Marissa Coleman, Virginia's Monica Wright, Duke's Chante Black, and North Carolina's Rashanda McCants.

Highly touted Terps freshman Lynetta Kizer was named the pre-season Freshman/Rookie of the year.

A very good showing for the Terps, who can expect to again be a Top 10 power Nationally, dominant in the ACC, and contending for another National Championship.
